Vehicular Futurism is a celebration of innovative vehicles from all ages, either being iconic or particularly high tech. This project is directed towards wallpapers and interior surfaces. I have been inspired by American “man caves” where they are often in a garage and feature a vehicle that would be their pride and joy and therefore the room fits with this theme. I have also researched into the trend of creating themed rooms, game rooms, home offices and male orientated living spaces.
I researched colour schemes on WGSN and combined two men’s colour trends together to create the one I have used within the collection. It is mainly from a 2020 A/W colour trend and I think that this gives it a mature and dramatic feel due to the muted tones and pops of bright colour.
